A few days ago we had a birthday in the family. It was a good opportunity for me to prepare a special cake. Cherry cake reminds me of childhood birthdays. My mom was preparing this dessert with pancake. This time I prepared the cherry cake with baking dough.

To prepare the dough I mixed the sour cream with butter at room temperature.

Then I mixed baking soda with lemon juice and I added to the composition of butter. Then I put the flour. I mixed the whole composition.

I’ve got a soft and elastic dough. I put the dough in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Meanwhile I let the cherries to thaw in a sieve and prepared the cream. I mixed the sour cream with powdered sugar for 10 minutes on medium speed of mixer. I put the cream in the frigde.

I divided the dough into 16 equal parts.

I stretched every piece of dough and I filled it with cherries. I sprinkled a little sugar on top.

I put it in the pan covered with baking paper and cooked for 20 minutes at 200° C. In each pan I put 4 pieces of dough filled with cherries. Finally I’ve got 4 layer round cake.

I covered every layer cake with cold cream.

I decorated the cherry cake with coconut flakes. I put the dessert in the refrigerator for 8 hours before serving to the guests.
