Meat Pie


Ingredients for the dough:
500-600 g wheat Flour
250ml warm Water
70 ml of Oil
1/4 teaspoon baking Soda

Ingredients for the filling:
750 gr minced Pork
2 pieces of Leek
100 g Butter
3 Eggs

My grandmother made the best pies baked in the pan. They were simply delicious. Every time I make pies on the pan I think of her. She usually prepared pies on Sunday when she knew that we come to visit her. It’s the taste that I will never forget it. I invite you to feel the taste of my beautiful childhood.

In a bowl add 500 grams of flour, make a hole in the middle and put the oil, warm water, salt and baking soda mixed with a little lemon juice.
On the table put 100 g of flour and knead the dough. Add flour until the dough no longer sticks to the hands and board.
Wrap the dough in cling film and leave it aside in a warm place.


Meanwhile prepare the filling for the pie. Cut the leeks and put it in a pan with 50 g butter for 5 minutes at medium heat.


In another pan put minced pork with 50 g butter for 10 minutes, at medium heat, until water evaporates.


Mix the meat with leek, add salt, pepper and eggs.

Cut dough into 8 equal parts. Stretch each piece of dough and fill it with the mixture of meat with leek.


Bake pie on non-stick frying pan without oil on low heat. Bon Appetite!
